May/June 2018 1st and 2nd class are running three laps (1km) of the pitch each morning as part of the Limerick Sports Partnership Fitkidz initiative. We hope to reach our target of running 21km by the time we get our school holidays.
This initiative involves school children and teachers taking up the challenge to complete distances of 10km or 21km in May and June. Each class in the school will take part in this initiative and have received a Challenge Resource Pack. This pack includes a large poster for each class and individual cards allowing students to track their own progress in the challenge. Walks will be completed on the schools grounds and it will also be set for homework on some nights. The children are really excited to complete this challenge. Don't forget all the family can get involved in this challenge!!! :)
April 2018 We have been participating in the Food Dudes programme all April and have been trying out lots of different fruit and veg. As part of this we decided to draw different fruit and veg and find out some interesting facts about them.
24th January 2018 Harry got a science experiment kit for Christmas. He brought it in and demonstrated one of the experiments for us. He made a "brain" using a substance called sodium alginate, hot water and food colouring.
It has been a very rainy January and we have been able to go out at break a lot.
The boys from 2nd class built this tower during one of these rainy breaks and wanted you to see it.
