Our Garden
Junior and Senior Infants harvested this years crop on today (Sept 16th 2016).
We had a great crop of veg this year - onions, potatoes, carrots, white turnips and beetroot.
The peas were a little over-ripe but we popped the pods and sampled them anyway.
Planting the carrots next to the smelly onions kept the carrot fly away.
The caterpillars had helped themselves to the pak choi and lettuce over the summer.
Our strawberry plants have been busy. Each of the four plant produced two runners and each runner will produce another two strawberry plants. Can you work out how many strawberry plants we will have next year?
Thanks to Amy, Rosemary and Dylan for bagging-up the veg for the infants to take home.

This is what the garden looked like when we went on summer holidays last June.
Mr Musgrave always plants new vegetables with the Juniors and Seniors every year!! We are delighted with the purchase of a new school playing field and hope to be playing all sports and having our Sports Days on it by next spring. Fingers crossed!!
