Infants Classes 2020-21
Maths Fun
We had lots of fun during our last week of school revising patterns in Maths using M & Ms, we also made the first letter of our names! They made a tasty treat when we were finished!
Chicks Visit
We had a visit from the baby chicks that we watched hatch in the incubator. It was very exciting and we were amazed to see how much they had grown. Big thank you to the Hayes family for bringing the chicks in for a visit!
Jersey Day
Our Junior and Seniors had a great time on our Jersey Day and loved colouring, cutting and sticking our Limerick crests before All Ireland weekend.
Happy Pumpkins
As part of our Halloween Funday activites we made some pumpkins, we coloured them in and cut them out and then glued them onto a black background before bringing them home!
Halloween Monsters
One of our Halloween art projects this year was making toilet paper roll monsters. We painted them and then decorated them with eyes and pipe cleaners making them as spooky as possible!
Maths Week - Beetle Drive
One of our Maths Week activities was a Beetle Drive, we had to work in pairs using dice to follow the rules and draw a beetle. We worked very hard on using dice during the week before this and I am so proud of how well all the Infants did using them for our game!
Maths Week - STEM Challenge
For Maths Week this year we also used STEM challenge cards to build different things like, treehouses, rockets, forts and slides! Some of us decided to draw out plans and others got straight to work, there were some very creative ideas and hard work put in during this activity but most of all we all had lots of fun working together and coming up with new ideas!
Leaf Art
After we collected our Autumn leaves on our Nature Walk we used the leaves to make leaf rubbings and some hedgehogs too!
Nature Walk
We learned a lot about what happens during Autumn this term and we decided to go on a nature walk and collect some of the changing leaves around our playground. We found lovely autumn coloured leaves and even some acorns!
Playdough Disco
One of our morning activities this year is Playdough Disco where we use our Playdough to exercise our hands and fingers by squeezing, pinching, rolling and splatting to get ready for the day. Of course we have to make some Playdough creations first!
Aistear
At the start of the year this year we worked in our pods using Lego, wooden blocks, sticky blocks and building blocks, have a look at some of our creations!
