School Note March 5th 2018
Fáilte ar ais / Welcome back after our snow days. We hope everyone kept safe and warm and had a chance to enjoy the snow.
March is a month to put even more of a focus on Gaeilge. We will be assessed soon for our Gaelbhratach (Irish Flag). Please allow some time at home to listen to the children using their Gaeilge. For those who entered Féile Luimnigh - We have no date yet for the poetry competitions but we will let you know as soon as we hear.
Swimming for 1st - 6th classes begins on our first day back after the Easter holidays - Monday April 9th. The money is due in for this by March 20th. €50 per child/ €120 for family of three (As per February note, website and note sent home last week ).
Every child has received a World Book Day Book Token which entitles each child to get one of the World Book Day books free of charge or use the token towards a book of their choice. The value of the token is €1.50. If you are not using your book token we would appreciate it if you could return it to the school as we will be able to use it to buy books for the class libraries or learning support room. Happy Reading !
We are due to take another half day to allow for further Child Protection Training, however, due to disruption last week due to the Red Weather Alert we have decided not to take our second half day and will be completing the training outside of school hours.
Monday the 19th is a bank holiday. Easter holidays begin at 12.30 on Friday the 23rd of March.
