First and Second were learning all about magnets. They built a maze and tried to move the paperclip through the maze using a magnet. They did a great job!
Bouncy Eggs: We soaked two uncooked eggs overnight. One in water, one in white vinegar. The next day the shell had come off the egg soaking in vinegar, it felt bouncy but broke easily. The egg that was soaking in water didn't change.
We used kitchen paper, toilet paper, water and some blue food colouring to make the water walk from one jar to the other.
We recently had a very special visitor!
He was very eager to leave the bucket and jumped the minute the lid was opened!
Silver Egg Experiment
Walking Water Experiment
The kitchen paper absorbed more water and so we had more water 'walk' into the jar on the left.
We were all amazed at how big he was.
He took in his surrounding for a minute and then headed off on his journey.
Using the tongs, burn the egg until black
The water soaked up through the tissue and into the jar below it.
