SESE- Infants Classes 2017/2018
Science Week- November 2017
We had great fun this science week!
On Monday we did a sound experiment. We closed our eyes and used our ears to identify the different musical instruments. We were able to name them all.
On Tuesday we did an air experiment. We put an empty plastic bottle in a box of water and we could see the water pushing the air out. It looked like bubbles.
On Wednesday we had great fun playing with magnets.
On Thursday we went on a materials hunt around the school. We looked for objects made of plastic, wood, glass, paper and metal.
On Friday we did an experiment called bouncing raisins. In a plastic cup we mixed- water, vinegar and baking soda. We then added in the raisins and waited for them to bounce.
Nature Walk
We had so much fun on our Nature Walk- even if it was a bit rainy. We looked at the trees and found a few spiderwebs! We collected leaves for our nature table and did bark and leaf rubbings.
