Walk a Mile (or more)
For today's activity we went for a walk in the glorious weather. We made sure that we all had plenty of sun-cream on before we left.
Infants, 1st and 2nd walked up to Rathmore Stud. It was nearly 3km there and back. We went in pairs for safety. When we reached the stud we had ice-lollys. We met lots of cars and many of them honked their horn at us. Thanks to the parents who came along with us to keep us safe.

On Tuesday 3rd to 6th classes walked to the old Ballymartin School and back for sport's week. We walked one whole mile to get to a very old school. There was cat wire in front of the school so no tresspassers could get in. Sophia spotted the old toilets and Lucy said the school was really small. The school was closed in 1968 and is messy and dusty now. I would not like to be in this school.
Then everyone saw cows and wanted to feed them but we weren't allow to. Then Mr. Lavin said we must go back to school so 3rd-6th went back and continued on. The walk was fabulous.
